Our new venture Indus Net Academy (www.indusnetacademy.com) will be exhibiting and doing a public launch of its e-learning products during Kolkata Book Fair starting tomorrow at Milon Mela Ground (near Science City).

We started our e-learning initiative around 18 months back and in last one and half year, we have managed to come up with:

• 12 high quality e-learning titles (mostly related to IT subjects)
• An e-learning framework to develop multimedia help / tutorial for software companies
• Capability to write illustrated technical manuals

We have also converted more than 150 fresh graduates into employable designers and programmers and got them job in web design industry.

The Satyam scam has been an unfortunate incident in Indian corporate history.

There has been a lot of comments going around about the ‘ethics of Indian IT companies’. We believe that this fiasco is an outcome of personal greed and it should not be generalized. The same personal greed has resulted in scams of huge magnitude in diverse geographics and industries. Therefore generalizing it and questioning the ethics of Indian IT companies is an absolutely narrow minded approach to the problem.

I have addressed this issue in detail in my, personal blog. The comments there are my personal views and not the general view-point of Indus Net Technologies as a whole.

As the new year dawns upon us with new challenges, i will like to remind you of a saying – ‘When the going gets tough, the tough gets going’.

True to this spirit we welcome this new year with triumph of our trekking team on Sandakphu amidst snowfall and sub-zero temperature. I think our guys has set the tone. Let us adopt this mantra in this new year and prove a point to this world by achieving unprecedented growth in 2009.
